Jonah 3
[kjv] And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
[strongs] 1961 And came 1697 the word of 3068 Yahweh 3124 to Jonah 8145 the second time, 0559 saying,
[kjv] Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
    [strongs] 6965 Arise, 3212 go 0000 to 5210 Nineveh, 5892 the city 1419 great, 2199 and cry out 0000 to it 7151 the proclamation 0000 that 0595 I 5608 am declaring 0000 to you.
[kjv] So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
    [strongs] 6965 And rose up 3124 Jonah, 1980 and went 5210 to Nineveh, 1697 according to word 3068 Yahweh's. 5210 Now Nineveh 1961 was 5892 a city 1419 great 0410 to God, 4109 a trip of 7967 three 3117 days.
[kjv] And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
[strongs] 2490 And began 3124 Jonah 0935 to enter 5892 into the city 1879 a trip of 3117 day 0259 one. 6817 And he cried out 0559 and said, 5750 Yet 0202 forty 3117 days 5210 and Nineveh 2015 will be overthrown!
[kjv] So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
[strongs] 0539 And believed 0376 the men of 5210 Nineveh 0430 in God. 7121 And they proclaimed 6685 a fast 3847 and put on 8242 sackcloth, 1419 from their greatest 5704 even to 6996 their least.
[kjv] For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
[strongs] 5060 And touched 1697 the word 0413 even to 4428 the king of 5210 Nineveh, 6965 and he arose 3679 from his throne, 5674 and he took off 0899 his robe 0000 from him 3680 and covered 8242 {with} sackcloth, 3427 and sat 0000 on 1880 the ashes.
[kjv] And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
[strongs] 7121 And he cried 0559 and said 5210 in Nineveh 2940 by the decree 4428 the king's 1419 and his great ones, 0559 saying, 0120 The man 0929 and the animal, 1241 the herd 7659 and the flock, 0408 not 2938 let taste 3972 anything. 0408 not 7462 Let them feed, 4325 and water 0408 not 8354 let them drink.
[kjv] But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
[strongs] 3680 But let be covered 8242 {with} sackcloth 0120 man 0929 and animal. 7121 And let them call 0000 to 0430 God 3581 with strength. 7725 And let turn 0376 each man 1870 from his way 7451 evil, 0000 and from 2555 the violence 0000 that {is} 3709 in their palms.
[kjv] Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
[strongs] 0000 Who 3045 knows, 7725 He may turn. 5162 And may change His mind 0430 God 7725 and turn 2740 from the glow of 0639 His anger, 0000 so that not 0006 we will perish.
[kjv] And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
[strongs] 7200 And saw 0430 God 4641 their deeds, 7725 that they turned 1870 from their way 7451 evil. 5162 Then changed His mind 0430 God 5921 concerning 7451 the harm 0000 that 1696 He had declared 6213 to do 0000 to them, 3808 but not 6213 He did do {it}.
