3:1 [cbb5] 我的弟兄们、不要多人作师傅、因为晓得我们要受更重的判断。
    [kjv] My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

3:2 [cbb5] 原来我们在许多事上都有过失若有人在话语上没有过失、他就是完全人、也能勒住自己的全身。
    [kjv] For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
    [strongs] > {in} 4183 many 1063 For 9999 {ways} 4417 we stumble 0537 all. 1536 If anyone 1722 in 3056 word 3756 not 4417 stumbles, 3778 this 9999 {is} 5046 a mature 0435 man, 1415 able 5468 to bridle 2532 also 3650 the whole 4983 body.
3:3 [cbb5] 我们若把嚼环放在马嘴里、叫他顺服、就能调动他的全身。
    [kjv] Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
    [strongs] 2400 If now 3588 of the 2462 horses 3588 the 5469 bits 1519 in 3588 the 4750 mouths 0906 we put, 4314 for 3982 to obey 0846 them 2254 us, 2532 and 3650 whole 3588 the 4983 body 0848 of them 3329 we turn about.
3:4 [cbb5] 看哪、船只虽然甚大、又被大风催逼、只用小小的舵、就随着掌舵的意思转动。
    [kjv] Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

3:5 [cbb5] 这样、舌头在百体里也是最小的、却能说大话。看哪、最小的火、能点鷠最大的树林
    [kjv] Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

3:6 [cbb5] 舌头就是火、在我们百体中、舌头是个罪恶的世界、能污秽全身、也能把生命的轮子点起来并且是从地狱里点着的。
    [kjv] And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

3:7 [cbb5] 各类的走兽、飞禽、昆虫、水族、本来都可以制伏、也已经被人制伏了
    [kjv] For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
    [strongs] 3956 every 1063 For 5449 nature 2342 of animals 5037 both 2532 and 4071 of birds 2062 of reptiles 5037 both 2532 and 1724 of sea animals, 1150 is tamed 2532 and 1150 has been tamed 3588 by the 5449 nature 0442 human.
3:8 [cbb5] 惟独舌头没有人能制伏、是不止息的恶物满了害死人的毒气。
    [kjv] But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
    [strongs] 3588 the 1161 But 1100 tongue 3762 no one 1410 is able 0444 of men 1150 to tame. 9999 {It is} 0183 an unrestrainable 2556 evil, 3324 full 2447 of poison 2287 death-dealing.
3:9 [cbb5] 我们用舌头颂赞那为主为父的、又用舌头咒诅那照着神形像被造的人
    [kjv] Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

3:10 [cbb5] 颂赞和咒诅从一个口里出来、我的弟兄们、这是不应当的。
    [kjv] Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

3:11 [cbb5] 泉源从一个眼里能发出甜苦两样的水麽。
    [kjv] Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
    [strongs] 3385 {Does} 3588 the 4077 fountain 1537 out of 3588 the 0846 same 3692 hole 1032 send forth 3588 the 1099 sweet 2532 and 3588 the 4089 bitter?
3:12 [cbb5] 我的弟兄们、无花果树能生橄榄麽、葡萄树能结无花果麽咸水里也不能发出甜水来。
    [kjv] Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
    [strongs] 1410 Is able, 0080 brothers 3450 of me, 4808 a fig-tree 1636 olives 4160 to produce, 2228 or 0288 a vine 4810 figs? 3779 So 3762 neither 4077 a fountain 0252 salt 2532 and 1099 sweet 4160 to produce 5204 water.
3:13 [cbb5] 你们中间谁是有智慧有见识的呢他就当在智慧的温柔上、显出他的善行来。
    [kjv] Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
    [strongs] 5101 Who 9999 {is} 4680 wise 2532 and 1990 knowing 1722 among 5213 you? 1166 Let him show 1537 by 3588 the 2570 good 0391 behavior 3588 the 1041 works 0848 of him 1722 in 4240 meekness 4678 of wisdom.
3:14 [cbb5] 你们心里若怀着苦毒的嫉妒和分争、就不可自夸、也不可说谎话抵挡真道。
    [kjv] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
    [strongs] 1487 if 1161 But 2205 jealousy 4089 bitter 2192 you have, 2532 and 2052 contention 1722 in 3588 the 2588 heart 5216 of you, 3361 do not 2620 exult over 2532 and 5574 lie 2596 against 3588 the 0225 truth.
3:15 [cbb5] 这样的智慧、不是从上头来的、乃是属地的、属情欲的、属鬼魔的。
    [kjv] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
    [strongs] 3756 not 2076 is 3778 This 3588 the 4678 wisdom 0509 from above 2718 coming down, 0235 but 9999 {is} 1919 earthly, 5591 beastly, 1141 devilish.
3:16 [cbb5] 在何处有嫉妒分争、就在何处有扰乱、和各样的坏事。
    [kjv] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
    [strongs] 3699 where 1063 For 2205 jealousy 2532 and 2052 contention 1563 there 0181 is confusion 2532 and 3956 every 5337 foul 4229 deed.
3:17 [cbb5] 惟独从上头来的智慧、先是清洁、后是和平、温良柔顺、满有怜悯、多结善果、没有偏见、没有假冒。
    [kjv] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
    [strongs] 3588 the 1161 But 0509 from above 4678 wisdom 4412 firstly 3303 truly 0053 pure 2076 is 1899 then 1516 peaceable, 1933 forbearing, 2138 yielding 3324 full 1656 of mercy 2532 and 2590 fruits 0018 of good, 0087 not partial, 0505 not pretended.
3:18 [cbb5] 并且使人和平的、是用和平所栽种的义果。
    [kjv] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
    [strongs] 2590 {the} fruit 1161 And 1343 of righteousness 1722 in 1515 peace 4687 is sown 3588 for those 4160 making 1515 peace.
