[kjv] And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.
    [strongs] 5613 when 1161 And 2919 it was decided 0636 to sail 2248 us 1519 to 2482 Italy, 3860 they delivered 5037 both 3972 Paul 2532 and 5100 some 2087 other 1202 prisoners 1543 to a centurion, 3686 by name 2457 Julius, 4686 of a cohort 4575 Augustan.
[kjv] And entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts of Asia; one Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.
    [strongs] 1910 embarking 1161 And 4143 a ship 0098 of Adramyttium, 3195 being about 4126 to sail 3588 to the 2596 alongside 0773 Asia 5117 places. 0321 We set sail, 5607 being 4862 with 2254 us 0708 Aristarchus, 3110 a Macedonian 2331 of Thessalonica.
[kjv] And the next day we touched at Sidon. And Julius courteously entreated Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself.
    [strongs] 3588 on the 5037 And 2087 next 2509 we were landed 1519 at 4605 Sidon. 5364 kindly 5037 And 2457 Julius 3972 Paul 5530 treating 2010 allowed 4314 to 3588 the 5384 friends 4198 going 1958 care 5177 to receive.
[kjv] And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
[strongs] 2547 And 0321 from there putting to sea, 5284 we sailed close to 2954 Cyprus, 1223 because of 3588 the 0417 winds 1511 being 1727 contrary.
[kjv] And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.
    [strongs] 3588 the 5037 And 3989 sea 2596 against 2791 Cilicia 2532 and 3828 Pamphylia 1277 sailing over 2718 we came down 1519 to 3460 Myra 3073 of Lycia.
[kjv] And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein.
    [strongs] 2546 And there 2147 having found 3588 the 1543 centurion 4143 ship 0222 an Alexandrian 4126 sailing 1519 to 2482 Italy, 1688 he placed 2248 us 1519 in 0846 it.
    [kjv] And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;
    [strongs] 1722 in 2425 many 1161 And 2250 days 1020 sailing slowly, 2532 and 3433 hardly 1096 coming 2596 against 2834 Cnidus, 3361 not 4330 allowing 2248 us 3588 the 4171 wind, 5284 we sailed close to 2914 Crete 2596 against 4534 Salmone,
[kjv] And, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.
    [strongs] 3433 hardly 5037 and 3881 sailing along 0846 it 2064 we came 1519 to 5117 a place 5100 certain 2563 being called 2570 Fair 3040 Haven, 3739 to which 1451 near 2258 was 4172 a city, 2996 Lasea.
[kjv] Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,
    [strongs] 2425 much 1161 And 5550 time 1230 having passed, 2532 and 5607 being 2235 now 2000 dangerous 3588 the 4144 voyage, 1223 because 2532 also 3588 the 3521 Fast 2235 already 3928 to have gone by, 3867 advised 3972 Paul,
[kjv] And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.
    [strongs] 3004 saying 0846 to them, 0435 Men, 2334 I see 3754 that 3326 with 5196 injury 2532 and 4183 much 2209 loss, 3756 not 3440 only 3588 of the 5414 cargo 2532 and 3588 of the 4143 ship, 0235 but 2532 also 3588 the 5590 lives 2257 of us, 3195 to be about 1510 to be 3588 the 4144 voyage!
[kjv] Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.
    [strongs] 3588 the 1161 But 1543 centurion 3588 by the 2942 steersman 2532 and 3588 the 3490 shipmaster 3982 was persuaded 3123 more 2228 than 3588 the things 5259 by 3972 Paul 3004 said.
[kjv] And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.
    [strongs] 0428 not fit 1161 And 3588 the 3040 port 5225 being 4314 for 3915 wintering, 3588 the 4119 most 5087 gave 1012 counsel 0321 to set sail 2547 from there, 1513 if somehow 1410 they may be able 2658 having arrived 1519 at 5405 Phoenix 3914 to pass the winter, 3040 a port 2914 of Crete 0991 facing 2596 toward 3047 southwest 2532 and 2596 toward 5566 northwest.
[kjv] And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete.
    [strongs] 5285 blowing gently 1161 And 3558 a south wind, 1380 thinking 3588 the 4286 purpose 2902 to have gained, 0142 raising 9999 {anchor}, 0788 close 3881 they sailed 2914 by Crete.
[kjv] But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.
    [strongs] 3326 after 3756 not 4183 much 1161 And 0906 beat 2592 down 0846 it 0417 wind 5189 a stormy, 2563 being called 2148 Euroclydon,
[kjv] And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive.
[strongs] 4884 being seized 1161 and 3588 the 4143 ship, 2532 and 3361 not 1410 being able 0503 to beat against 3588 the 0417 wind, 1929 giving way 5342 we were carried.
[kjv] And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat:
[strongs] 3519 island 1161 But 5100 an 5295 running under, 2563 being called 2802 Cauda, 3433 hardly 2480 we were able 4031 mastery 1096 to get 3588 of the 4627 boat,
[kjv] Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.
    [strongs] 3739 which 0142 taking 0996 helps 5530 they used, 5269 undergirding 3588 the 4143 ship. 5399 fearing 5037 And 3361 not 1519 into 4950 Syrtis 1601 they fall, 5465 lowering 3588 the 4532 tackle, 3779 thus 5342 they were being carried along.
    [kjv] And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;
    [strongs] 4971 severely 1161 But 5492 being storm-tossed 2257 we, 3588 on the 1836 next 9999 {day} 1546 a throwing out 4160 they made,
[kjv] And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.
    [strongs] 2532 and 3588 on the 5154 third 9999 {day} 0849 with their own hands 3588 the 4631 tackle 3588 of the 4143 ship 4496 they threw 9999 {overboard}.
[kjv] And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
    [strongs] 3383 neither 1161 And 2246 sun 3383 not 0798 stars 2014 appearing 9999 {overhead} 9999 {for} 1909 over 4119 many 2250 days, 5494 storm 5037 and 9999 {since it was} 3756 no 3641 small 2945 pressing hard, 3063 now 4014 was taken away 3956 all 1680 hope 4982 to be saved 2248 us.
[kjv] But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
    [strongs] 4183 much 1161 And 0776 fasting 5225 being, 5119 then 2476 standing 3972 Paul 1722 in 9999 {the} 3319 middle 0846 of them 2036 said, 9999 {You} 1163 ought, 3303 - 5599 O 0435 men, 3980 having been obedient 3427 to me 3361 not 0321 to have set sail 0575 from 2914 Crete, 2770 to come by 5037 and 5196 injury 5026 this 2532 and 2209 loss.
[kjv] And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
    [strongs] 2532 And 3569 now 3867 I advise 5209 you 2114 to be cheered, 0580 throwing away 1063 because 5590 of life 3762 no 2071 will be 1537 of 5216 you, 4133 only 3588 of the 4143 ship.
[kjv] For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,
    [strongs] 3936 stood beside 1063 For 3427 me 5026 this 3588 - 3571 night 3588 of God, 3739 whose 1510 am 1473 I, 3739 whom 2532 also 3000 I serve, 0032 an angel,
[kjv] Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
    [strongs] 3004 saying, 3361 Do not 5394 be afraid, 3972 Paul, 2541 Caesar 4571 You 1163 must 3936 stand in the presence of, 2532 and 2400 look, 5483 has given 4671 you 3588 - 2316 God 3956 all 3588 those 4126 sailing 3326 with 4675 you.
[kjv] Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
[strongs] 1352 So 2114 be cheered, 0435 men, 4100 I believe 1063 because 3588 in 2316 God, 3754 that 3779 so 2071 it will be 2596 in 3739 the way 5158 of which 2980 it was spoken 3427 to me.
[kjv] Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.
    [strongs] 1519 onto 3520 island 1161 But 5100 an 1163 must 2248 we 1601 fall off.
    [kjv] But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;
    [strongs] 5613 when 1161 And 9999 {the} 5065 fourteenth 3571 night 1096 came, 1308 being carried along 2257 us 1722 in 3588 the 0099 Adriatic, 2596 toward 3319 the middle 3588 of the 3571 night 5282 sensed 3588 the 3492 sailors 4317 to approach 5100 some 0846 to them 5561 a country.
[kjv] And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
    [strongs] 2532 And 1001 sounding 2147 they found 3711 fathoms 1501 twenty, 1024 a little 1161 and 1339 having moved 2532 also 3825 again 1001 sounding, 2147 they found 3711 fathoms 1178 fifteen.
[kjv] Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.
    [strongs] 5399 fearing 5037 And 3381 lest 1519 on 5138 rough 5117 places 1601 they may fall off, 1537 out of 9999 {the} 4403 stern 4496 throwing 0045 anchors 5064 four, 2172 they wished 2250 day 1096 to come.
[kjv] And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
    [strongs] 3588 the 1161 And 3492 sailors 2212 seeking 5343 to escape 1537 out 3588 of the 4143 ship, 2532 and 5465 lowering 3588 the 4627 boat 1519 into 3588 the 2281 ocean, 4392 pretending 5613 as 1537 out of 9999 {the} 4408 bow 3195 being about 0045 anchors 1614 to throw out,
[kjv] Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
    [strongs] 2036 said 3972 Paul 3588 to the 1543 centurion 2532 and 3588 to the 4757 soldiers, 3362 If not 3778 these 3306 remain 1722 in 3588 the 4143 ship, 5210 you 4982 to be saved 3756 not 1410 are able!
[kjv] Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.
    [strongs] 5119 Then 3588 the 4757 soldiers 0609 cut away 3588 the 4979 ropes 3588 of the 4627 boat, 2532 and 1439 let 0846 it 1601 fall off.
[kjv] And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.
    [strongs] 0891 until 1161 And 3739 - 3195 was about 2250 day 1096 to come, 3870 begged 3972 Paul 0537 all 3335 to partake 5160 of food, 3004 saying, 9999 {The} 5065 fourteenth 4594 today 9999 {is} 2250 day 4328 waiting 0777 without food 1300 you continued, 3367 nothing 4355 having taken.
[kjv] Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.
    [strongs] 1352 Therefore, 3870 I beg 5209 you 4355 to take 5160 of food! 5124 this 1063 Because 4314 for 5212 your 4991 deliverance 5225 is. 3762 of no one 1063 Because 5216 of you 2359 a hair 1537 from 3588 the 3776 head 4098 will perish!
[kjv] And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.
    [strongs] 2036 saying 1161 And 5023 these things, 2532 and 2983 taking 0740 bread, 2168 he gave thanks 3588 to 2316 God 1799 in front 3956 of all, 2532 and 2906 breaking, 0756 began 2068 to eat.
[kjv] Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.
    [strongs] 2115 cheered up 1161 And 1096 having 3956 become all, 2532 also 0846 they 4355 took 5160 food.
[kjv] And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.
    [strongs] 2258 we were 1161 And 1722 in 3588 the 4143 ship 3588 the 3956 all 5590 persons, 1250 two hundred 1440 seventy- 1803 six.
[kjv] And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
[strongs] 2880 having been filled 1161 And 5160 of food, 2893 they lightened 3588 the 4143 ship, 1544 throwing out 3588 the 4621 wheat 1519 into 3588 the 2281 ocean.
[kjv] And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
    [strongs] 3753 when 1161 And 2250 daylight 1096 came, 3588 the 1093 land 3756 not 1921 did recognize, 2859 a bay 1161 but 5100 certain 2657 they noticed 2192 having 0123 a beach, 1519 into 3739 which 1011 they planned, 1487 if 1410 they could, 1856 to ram 3588 the 4143 ship.
[kjv] And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
    [strongs] 2532 And 3588 the 0045 anchors 4014 having thrown off 1439 they left 1519 in 3588 the 2281 ocean, 0260 at the same time 0447 freeing 3588 the 2202 bands 3588 of the 4079 rudders, 2532 and 1869 raising 3588 the 0736 foresail 3588 to the 4154 breeze, 2722 they hugged 1519 to 3588 the 0123 beach.
[kjv] And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
    [strongs] 4045 coming upon 1161 And 1519 - 5117 a place 1337 between two currents, 2027 they rammed 3588 the 3491 vessel, 2532 and 3588 the 3303 - 4408 bow 2043 having stuck 3306 remained 0761 immovable, 3588 the 1161 but 4403 stern 2089 was broken 5259 by 3588 the 0970 violence 3588 of the 2949 waves.
