[kjv] And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
    [strongs] 0816 having looked 1161 And 3972 Paul 3588 on the 4892 Sanhedrin, 2036 he said, 0435 Men, 0080 brothers, 1473 I 3956 in all 4893 conscience 0018 good 4176 have lived 3588 to 2316 God 0891 until 5026 this 2250 day.
[kjv] And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
    [strongs] 3588 the 1161 But 0749 high priest, 0367 Ananias, 2004 ordered 3588 those 3936 standig by 0846 him 5180 to strike 0846 of him 3588 the 4750 mouth.
[kjv] Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
    [strongs] 5119 Then 3972 Paul 4314 to 0846 him 2036 said, 5180 to strike 4571 you 3195 is about 3588 - 2316 God, 5109 wall 2867 whitened! 2532 And 4771 you 2521 sit 2919 judging 3165 me 2596 according to 3588 the 3551 Law, 2532 and 3891 contrary to law 2753 command 3165 me 5180 to be struck?
[kjv] And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?
[strongs] 3588 those 1161 And 3936 standing by 2036 said, 3588 The 0749 high priest 3588 of 2316 God 3058 do you revile?
[kjv] Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
[strongs] 5346 said 5037 And 3972 Paul, 3756 not 1496 I do know, 0080 brothers, 3754 that 2076 he is 0749 high priest. 1125 it has been written 1063 For, 0758 A ruler 3588 of the 2992 people 4675 of you 3756 not 2046 speak of 2560 in an evil manner.
[kjv] But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
    [strongs] 1097 knowing 1161 And 3972 Paul 3754 that 3588 the 1520 one 3313 part 2076 is 4523 of Sadducees, 3588 the 2532 and 2087 other 9999 {part is} 5330 of Pharisees, 2896 he cried out 1722 in 3588 the 4892 Sanhedrin, 0435 Men, 0080 brothers, 1473 I 5330 a Pharisee 1510 am, 5207 a son 5330 of Pharisees. 4012 Concerning 1680 hope 2532 and 0386 resurrection 3498 of {the} dead 1473 I 2919 am being judged.
[kjv] And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
    [strongs] 5124 this 1161 And 0846 him 2980 having spoken, 1096 there was 4714 a discord 3588 of the 5330 Pharisees 2532 and 3588 the
[kjv] For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
    [strongs] 4523 Sadducees, 2532 and 4977 was divided 3588 the 4128 crowd. 4523 Sadducees 3303 indeed 1063 For 3004 say 3361 not 1511 to be 0386 a resurrection, 3366 neither 0032 angel 3383 nor 4151 spirit. 5330 Pharisees 1161 But 3670 confess 0287 both.
[kjv] And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
    [strongs] 1096 there was 1161 And 2906 a cry 3173 great, 2532 and 0450 having risen up 3588 the 1122 copyists 3588 of the 3313 part 3588 the 5330 Pharisees, 1264 they were contending, 3004 saying, 3762 nothing 2556 evil 2147 We find 1722 in 0444 man 5129 this! 1487 if 1161 Now 4151 a spirit 2980 spoke 0846 to him 2228 or 0032 an angel, 3361 not 2313 let us fight against God!
[kjv] And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
    [strongs] 4183 much 1161 And 1096 having arisen 4714 discord 2125 fearing 3588 the 5506 commander 3361 lest 1288 should be torn 3972 Paul 5259 by 0846 them, 2753 commanded 3588 the 4253 group of soldiers 2597 went down 0726 to seize 0846 him 1537 out of 3319 {the} middle 0846 of them, 0071 to bring 5037 and 1519 into 3588 the 3925 fortress.
[kjv] And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
    [strongs] 3588 in the 1161 And 1966 following 3571 night 2186 coming on 0846 to him 3588 the 2962 Lord 2036 said, 2293 Be cheered 3972 Paul. 5613 as 1063 For 1263 you fully testified 3588 the thing 4012 about 1700 me 1519 in 2419 Jerusalem, 3779 so 4571 you 1163 must 2532 also 1519 in 4516 Rome 3140 testify.
[kjv] And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
    [strongs] 1096 becoming 1161 And 2250 day, 4160 making 5100 some 3588 of the 2453 Jews 4963 a conspiracy, 0332 cursed 1438 themselves, 3004 saying 3383 neither 5315 to eat 3383 nor 4095 to drink 2193 until 3756 - 0615 they should kill 3972 Paul!
[kjv] And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.
    [strongs] 2258 were 1161 And 4119 more {than} 5062 forty 3588 those 5026 this 4945 plot 4160 making!
[kjv] And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.
[strongs] 3748 Who 4334 having come near 3588 to the 0749 most important priests 2532 and 3588 to the 4245 elders 2036 said, 0331 With a curse 0332 we cursed 1438 ourselves 3367 of nothing 1089 to taste 2193 until 3739 - 0615 we may kill 3972 Paul.
[kjv] Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.
    [strongs] 3568 Now, 3767 then, 5210 you 1718 inform 3588 the 5506 commander 4862 with 3588 the 4892 Sanhedrin, 3704 so as 0839 tomorrow 0846 him 2609 he bring down 4314 to 5209 you 5613 as though 3195 intending 1231 to ascertain 0197 more accurately 3588 that 4012 about 0846 him. 2249 we 1161 And 4253 before 3588 the 1448 coming close 0846 of him 2092 ready 2070 are 0332 to kill 0846 him!
[kjv] And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.
    [strongs] 0191 hearing 1161 And 3588 the 5207 son 3588 of the 0079 sister 3972 of Paul 3588 of the 1749 ambush, 3854 having come near 2532 and 1525 entering 1519 into 3588 the 3925 fortress 0518 reported 3972 to Paul.
[kjv] Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.
    [strongs] 4341 calling to 9999 {him} 1161 And 3972 Paul 1520 one 3588 of the 1543 centurions 5346 said, 3494 youth 5126 This 0520 bring up 4314 to 3588 the 5506 commander, 2192 he has 1063 for 5100 something 0518 to report 0846 to him.
[kjv] So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.
    [strongs] 3588 he 3303 Then 3767 - 3880 taking 0846 him 0071 brought 4314 to 3588 the 5506 commander, 2532 and 5346 says, 3588 The 1198 prisoner 3972 Paul 4341 calling near 3165 me 2065 asked 5126 this 3494 youth 0071 to bring 4314 to 4571 you, 2192 having 5100 a thing 2980 to tell 4671 you.
[kjv] Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?
    [strongs] 1949 holding onto 1161 And 3588 the 5495 hand 0846 of him 3588 the 5506 commander 2532 and 0402 having withdrawn 2596 privately 2398 - 4441 asked, 5101 What 2076 is 9999 {it} 3739 which 2192 you have 0518 to report 3427 to me?
[kjv] And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.
    [strongs] 2036 he said 1161 And, 3754 - 3588 The 2453 Jews 4934 agreed 2065 to ask 4571 you 3704 so as 0839 tomorrow 1519 to 3588 the 4892 Sanhedrin 2609 you bring down 3972 Paul, 5613 as though 3195 intending 5101 something 0197 more accurately 4441 to inquire 4012 concerning 0846 him.
[kjv] But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.
    [strongs] 4771 You, 3767 then, 3361 not 3982 be persuaded 0846 by them. 1748 lie in wait For 1063 for 0846 him 1537 of 0846 them 0435 men 4119 more {than} 5062 forty, 3748 who 0332 cursed 1438 themselves 3383 neither 5315 to eat 3383 nor 4095 drink 2195 until 3756 - 0337 they kill 0846 him, 2532 and 3568 now 2092 ready 1526 they are, 4327 awaiting 3588 the 0575 from 4675 you 1860 promise!
[kjv] So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.
    [strongs] 3588 the 3303 Then 3767 - 5506 commander 0630 dismissed 3588 the 3494 youth, 3853 charging 9999 {him} 3367 no one 1583 to tell 3754 that 5023 these things 1718 you reported 4314 to 3165 me.
    [kjv] And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;
    [strongs] 2532 And 4341 calling near 1417 two 5100 a certain 3588 of the 1543 centurions 2036 he said, 2090 Prepare 4757 soldiers 1250 two hundred, 3704 so that 4198 they may go 2193 to 2542 Caesarea, 2532 and 2460 horsemen 1440 seventy, 2532 and 1187 spearmen 1250 two hundred, 0575 from 9999 {the} 5154 third 5610 hour 3588 of the 3571 night.
[kjv] And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.
[strongs] 2934 animals 5037 And 3936 to stand by, 2443 that 1913 having set upon 3972 Paul 1295 they could bring 4314 to 5344 Felix, 3588 the 2232 Governor.
[kjv] And he wrote a letter after this manner:
    [strongs] 1125 Writing 1982 a letter 4023 having 5179 form 5126 this:
23:26 [cbb5] 大略说、革老丢吕西亚、请巡抚腓力斯大人安。
[kjv] Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.
    [strongs] 2804 Claudius 3079 Lysias 3588 to the 2903 most excellent 2232 Governor, 5344 Felix, 5463 greeting!
[kjv] This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.
    [strongs] 0435 man 5226 This, 4815 having been seized 5259 by 3588 the 2453 Jews, 2532 and 3195 being 0337 about to be killed 5259 by 0846 them, 2186 coming on 4862 with 3588 the 4753 soldiers, 1807 I rescued 0846 him, 3129 having learned 3754 that 4514 a Roman 2076 he is.
[kjv] And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council:
    [strongs] 1014 being minded 1161 And 1097 to know 3588 the 0156 charge 1223 for 2258 which 1458 they were accusing 0846 him, 2609 I brought down 0846 him 1519 to 3588 the 4892 Sanhedrin 0846 of them,
[kjv] Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.
    [strongs] 3739 whom 2147 I found 1458 being accused 4012 concerning 2213 questions 3588 of the 3551 law 0846 of them, 3367 nothing 1161 and 0514 worthy 2288 of death, 2228 or 1193 of bonds 1462 charge 2192 having.
[kjv] And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell.
    [strongs] 3377 being divulged 1161 And 3427 to me 1917 a plot 1519 against 3588 the 0435 man 3195 being about 1510 to be 5259 by 3588 the 2453 Jews, 1824 immediately 3992 I sent 4314 to 4571 you 3853 commanding 2532 also 3588 the 2725 accusers 3004 to say 3588 the things 4314 to 0846 him 1909 in front of 4675 you.
[kjv] Then the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris.
    [strongs] 3588 the 3303 There- 3767 fore, 4757 soldiers, 2596 according to 3588 the thing 1299 appointed 0846 to them 0353 taking up 3972 Paul, 0071 brought 1223 through 3588 the 3571 night 1519 to 0494 Antipatris.
[kjv] On the morrow they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the castle:
    [strongs] 3588 on the 1161 And 1837 next day, 1439 allowing 3588 the 2460 horsemen 4198 to go 4862 with 0846 him, 5290 they returned 1519 to 3588 the 3925 fortress.
[kjv] Who, when they came to Caesarea and delivered the epistle to the governor, presented Paul also before him.
    [strongs] 3748 Who 1525 having entered 1519 into 2542 Caesarea, 2532 and 0325 giving over 3588 the 1992 letter 3588 to the 2232 Governor, 3936 presented 2532 also 3972 Paul 0846 to him.
    [kjv] And when the governor had read the letter, he asked of what province he was. And when he understood that he was of Cilicia;
    [strongs] 0314 having read 1161 And 3588 the 2232 Governor, 2532 and 1905 asking 1537 of 4169 what 1835 province 2076 he is, 2532 and 4441 learning 3754 that 0575 from 2791 Cilicia,
[kjv] I will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.
    [strongs] 1251 I will hear 4675 you, 5346 he said, 3752 when 2532 also 3588 the 2725 accusers 4675 of you 3854 arrive. 2753 commanding 5037 And 0846 him 1722 in 3588 the 4232 Praetorium 2264 of Herod 5442 to be kept.
